Payne, James "Elrod" Lamar Sr. 65. passed away on March 26, 2013.
Mr. Payne served in the Vietnam War, and received two purple hearts during his mission. He was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Mr. Payne is preceded in death by his father & mother, Marshall & Mildred Payne. Lamar is survived by his loving children; James L. Payne Jr, (Becky), and Heather Payne, Grandchildren; Kayla, Austin, Hayley, and Aryel Payne, Siblings; Larry Payne (Diane), Beverly Carrico (Joe), Eddie Payne (Barbara), Brenda Paul (James), and Martha Nell Shepherd, Uncle Don...

Mr. Payne is preceded in death by his father & mother, Marshall & Mildred Payne. Lamar is survived by his loving children; James L. Payne Jr, (Becky), and Heather Payne, Grandchildren; Kayla, Austin, Hayley, and Aryel Payne, Siblings; Larry Payne (Diane), Beverly Carrico (Joe), Eddie Payne (Barbara), Brenda Paul (James), and Martha Nell Shepherd, Uncle Don Payne (Carol), and Nephew, Bryan Shepherd. A Funeral Service honoring the life of Mr. Payne will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, with Burial to follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Visitation will be held on Monday, from 12-8pm at the funeral home. Expression of sympathy in Lamar's name can be made out to Louisville Metro Animal Service.
